St. Luke’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people living in the Basildon & Thurrock districts with any life threatening, life limiting disease. This often means cancer but also includes other illnesses that are no longer curable, such as Heart Failure, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease or Chronic Pulmonary Obstructive Disease.
Care and support is offered through a wide range of services that are tailor made to meet the needs of individuals. This care is extended to families, carers and friends. This support and care is available, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and is completely free.
St. Luke’s provides counselling services to adults and also to children through Luke’s Counselling Service for Children and Young People. .
